Old Four Legs X Annie Paxton Studio

Annie Paxton is a Melbourne-based multi-disciplinary designer whose practice orbits between architecture, art, and object, with a fascination in material expression. Annie’s works tend to vacillate between the sculptural and the functional; the robust and the fragile; the material and the spatial. With the tendency to imbue works with patina and the trace of the hand, the interrogation of time as material is often a salient driver in her practice.

Old Four Legs is the Melbourne based furniture practice of Torren Clifford. Specialising in detailed metal fabrication, his practice sits adjacent to the ordinary confines of conventional furniture. His metal works seek to interrogate the perception of its medium by merging geometries and negative space to create expressive pieces, often through use of a more freehanded approach.
