Vestige is an exhibition that looks at the inbetween, the underside, the shadow of making through the display of paired furniture forms: a series of positives and negatives. The paired forms sit together in a dialogue that interrogates the tension between what is made and the process that made it. Reusing metal waste, the remnants of production become the core of production. They are functional sculpture: unique one-off pieces of furniture that trace this story between product and process. Vestige relooks at processes of making, celebrating slow production, the re-use of production waste, and the circular nature of making. It asks: How can the process have a voice in the product?
