Working together with Indigenous designers and knowledge holders, Agency presents a series of conversations which explore and reflect on traditional and ongoing design processes. These practices are integral to community, sustainability and Country, and are vital vehicles of intergenerational knowledge and cultural transfer.
Holding Space is a series of breakfast conversations that will provide a platform for education and discussion around the expertise and ingenuity of Indigenous design. The backdrop for these discussions is a curated selection of Indigenous design pieces which inform each conversation. Over the five days, hear from: Jenna Lee, Hannah Presley, Lisa Waup, Peta Clancy, and Kait James.
Designed to promote and elevate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge and the desirability and intrigue of Indigenous thinking in the world of contemporary design, these highly curated events will spark conversations and new collaborations, whilst elevating and celebrating Indigenous design practices.
