The New Future of Ageing: Smart Homes for Seniors Past Event

Join us to celebrate the launch of Smart Homes for Seniors. Directed by design anthropologist Sarah Pink, the film shares the joys, frustration and wisdom of Australian seniors as they learned to live with digital voice assistants, smart lights, and robotic vacuum cleaners during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.

Officially selected for the Mimesis Documentary Festival and Awareness Festival 2021, this Australian premiere is screened in a theatre setting at ACMI followed by a panel discussion and live Q&A with world-renowned experts to share their insights and ideas on emerging technology, futures and senior living.
