MMeets: Visible Mending Workshop with Eileen Braybrook

MMeets: Visible Mending Workshop with Eileen Braybrook Past Event

Presented by MPavilion

Eileen Braybrook is an artist and textile designer who rescues discarded knitwear and gives them a new life through visible mending practices. Join Elieen Braybrook for a ‘Visible Mending’ workshop where you can bring along your old knits and give them a second life by learning Eileen’s darning and repair techniques. Learn about the small ways you can repurpose and reuse ever increasing textile waste and how you can contribute to a rethinking design processes and production to move towards a more sustainable future.

This workshop is presented in conjunction with the Australian Tapestry Workshop’s exhibition Mass Reduction which includes artists who offer creative and innovative alternative approaches to confronting textile waste and modes of mass production.
