Wheelchair AccessThe Land Between Two Rivers is a sculptural project by Ara Dolatian that examines architectural and sculptural ideas inspired by early Mesopotamian civilizations; the ceramics objects are textural, earthy and organic with asymmetrical and imperfect qualities.
This exhibition displays Ara’s interdisciplinary practice explores the relationship between cultural landscapes and the natural ecosystem. His ceramic works are hybrid ecosystems that simultaneously resemble semi-functional apparatus, models of utopian cities and biological experiments. Dolatian’s work is also imbibed with numerous ideas centered upon conceptions of ‘the studio’ and ‘the laboratory’ as well as the conceptual domain of socio-environmental politics.
The exhibition is open for three days between 12-5pm from 18-20 March with celebration drinks from 5-7 pm on Friday, 18 March.
