Sophie Gannon Gallery

Sophie Gannon Gallery was established in 2006 by gallery director Sophie Gannon. Situated in the Melbourne inner-city suburb of Richmond, the gallery is dedicated to representing Australian contemporary art and design. Its annual program consists of curated, group and solo exhibitions across the two gallery spaces, plus off-site artist, private and public projects. The gallery also participates regularly in commercial art fairs.

For the inaugural Melbourne Design Fair, Sophie Gannon Gallery presents design works by Danielle Brustman, Elliat Rich and Makiko Ryujin. Works by each of these designers are held in private and public collections throughout Australia, including in the NGV Collection. Danielle Brustman is an award-winning interior designer whose work encompasses interior, furniture, lighting and object design; Elliat Rich is a multidisciplinary designer based in Alice Springs working across public art, product design, furniture and exhibitions; and Makiko Ryujin is a Japanese-born, Melbourne-based woodturner, designer and photographer practising experimental techniques.
