Mama Casa is proud to bring to Melbourne Design Week 2022, for the first time in Australia, the best of Tecta’s portfolio of classic and reinterpreted Bauhaus furniture. The exhibition will include the best ideas and designs of modernism created by the Bauhaus movement in Weimar and Dessau, as well as contemporary designs that remain true to the ideals of the movement. TECTA Managing Director and Cantilever Chair Museum (Lauenförde) Principal, Christian Drescher will deliver a live virtual event outlining the history of the movement and take viewers through the new approaches in innovative materials and techniques Tecta has incorporated to bring new life to the works of Bauhaus masters. We will celebrate the results of one of the most important design movements the world has ever experienced as we showcase how its influence still resonates today.
