Katheryn Leopoldseder

Katheryn Leopoldseder is an internationally recognized contemporary jeweller and exhibiting artist. She hand-makes limited edition jewellery collections as well as producing large-scale art objects. With a focus on the inherent meanings in materials, accomplished craftsmanship and story, Katheryn utilises the language of personal adornment and its unique relationship to the body; to contemplate the human condition, our place in the environment, belief, values, perception and projected identity.

Katheryn is the recipient of several awards, grants and acquisitions, with works represented by collections including, the NSW Powerhouse Museum and The Art Gallery of South Australia.

In 2014, the Federal Government of Australia commissioned Leopoldseder to design and craft brooches showcasing uniquely Australian materials and themes; gifted to each delegate attending the G20 conference as a gesture of welcome.
