Aviva Reed

Aviva Reed is a trans disciplinary ecologist. Her practice enmeshes the ecological sciences with philosophical thought and social theories. Aviva has been part of numerous artist/ science residencies, including a year long program at Docklands library. Aviva has also illustrated and written numerous books including the ongoing series on microbes with Small Friends Books (CSIRO Publishing), Eon: The story of the Fossils (Oekologie Studio) and curated the interdisciplinary art/science exhibition “A Tree’s Worth’ as part of the Climarte festival, 2019 which explored diverse lens and public discourse for understanding trees. She is currently a PHD candidate at La Trobe University, reframing ecology using a creative Arts perspective.
