New Day – A multi-sensory exhibition exploring the Abbotsford Convent. By Katheryn Leopoldseder Past Event

Presented by Katheryn Leopoldseder

Drawing on stories gathered from fifteen years of arts practice based at The Abbotsford Convent, Leopoldseder shares a multi-sensory exhibition of contemporary jewellery and objects; alongside unexpected audio and digital collaborations. Sometimes small and intimate, at other times, scaled up to amplify the connection between worn object as identity marker and the influence of place. The jewellery and objects meander through facets of what the Abbotsford Convent might have meant to communities of the past, the extraordinary nature of its salvage from private redevelopment, as well as its current significance to the creatives and visitors who share in its story now.

Bring your smart phone and headphones to engage with the digital experience.
